Where to Find Authentic Peruvian Restaurants in Miami

A city full of diversity, Miami has some of the best Latin American restaurants in Florida. Whether you’re are craving Cuban, Colombian or Argentinian, Miami has the best places to go to without having to leave the country.

As someone who has family in Peru, has been to Peru, has stayed in Peru for extended months at a time, and who cooks Peruvian food, I know a thing or two about Peruvian food.

So when people try to recommend La Granja as a good Peruvian food restaurant, I put a stop to it. That food chain is not offering the authentic taste of Peruvian food and should never be recommended as good Peruvian food.

That said, I do have recommendations as to which Peruvian restaurants in Miami, you should go to for some delicious Peruvian food. Most of these are in the same area, but I do plan to expand this list.

There’s plenty of Authentic Peruvian Restaurants in Miami, but these are some of my favorites!

La Bodega – Peruvian Restaurant and Store

Restaurants in Miami

This place has some of the best Aji de Gallina and they also have Peruvian products you can purchase. Whenever I’m in Miami, this is usually where I’ll get some Peruvian chocolates, Alfajores and Aji Amarillo (yellow chili pepper).

El Chaman

This restaurant is quite beautiful and has quite a few Peruvian paintings and statues. Aside from being a beautiful restaurant, the plates are quite exquisite and very well decorated. This is one of the places I love to eat Fried Yucca with Huancaína sauce.

Location: 14241 SW 42nd St, Miami, FL Cost: $$

Aromas del Peru

This place has amazing Peruvian food and their desserts are awesome! It’s also a great restaurant to take guests to, but it does get crowded.

Location: 13823 SW 88th St, Miami, FL 33186 Cost: $$

El Chalan Restaurant

This restaurant has been around for a while, but it is still quite delicious. I am a huge fan of their Papa a la Huancaína and I am quite picky of how the sauce is made.

Location: 7971 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155 Cost: $$

El Tambo Grill

A cute, simple spot, El Tambo Grill is another spot for Peruvian food. This is a great spot for pollo a la brasa.

Location: 12861 SW 88th St, Miami, FL 33186 Cost: $
