If you’re a fan of antiques or vintage finds, Trader Mae’s Marketplace in Apopka is a must-visit. With more than 50 vendors under one roof, this unique spot is packed with treasures—think retro arcade games, 1950s Barbies, old-school comics, vintage jewelry, and so much more.

It’s one of the best places in Apopka for antique lovers and collectors alike. Plus, the quirky decor and colorful booths make it a great place for fun photo ops.

2) Magnolia Park

Have you ever seen peacocks roaming freely in a park? If not, you’ll definitely want to visit this spot in Apopka. Not only is this park beautiful and peaceful, but it’s also home to a flock of peacocks that wander around freely. Just a heads up – be careful when approaching these beautiful creatures, especially if you’re driving. (I speak from experience – one of them actually attacked my parked car!)

3) Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive

I could literally spend hours in this area in Apopka. Unlike the usual nature walks around Orlando, here you get to enjoy a unique wildlife drive where you can spot alligators, birds, and other animals all from the comfort of your car.

It’s a totally different way to experience nature, and one of my favorite spots to unwind and take in the beautiful Florida wildlife.

5) Canon Coffee

Canon Coffee has been a staple in my daily routine since it opened. I used to work in Apopka, so when Canon Coffee opened its doors in 2019, it quickly became my go-to lunch spot, five days a week!

What makes this cozy coffee shop so special is its welcoming atmosphere, with several rooms to relax in and plenty of comfortable seating. Plus, the menu is delicious and perfect for any coffee lover. If you’re looking for a cozy coffee shop in Apopka, Canon Coffee is definitely a spot to check out!

6) Halls on 5th

There are so many great restaurants in Apopka, but one of my favorites is Halls on 5th. This recently opened in 2025, and it is the first food hall in Apopka, Florida!

Here you’ll find a bar area with some beautiful drinks, and six different food vendors: Butcher’s Nook, Empanada & Co., Parlor Waffle Kitchen, Soulicious Vegan Kitchen, Sweet & Salty Island Grindz, and Thrive. If you’re looking to try a variety of flavors all in one place, Halls on 5th is a must-visit in Apopka!

7) Wekiwa Springs State Park

We have many state parks in Central Florida, but if you’re looking for one in Apopka, Florida, then head over to Wekiwa Springs State Park.

This 7,000-acre park not only has pristine emerald springs, but you can swim, canoe, kayak, and do just about anything at this state park.

Admission is just $6 per vehicle, making it an affordable and beautiful way to explore the natural side of Apopka.

8) Kelly Park – Rock Springs

If you’re looking for even more outdoor fun, then check out Kelly Park – Rock Springs in Apopka, Florida! Unlike Wekiwa, Kelly Park has a tiered admission fee: $3 for 1-2 people, $5 for 3-8 people, and so on.

This park is especially popular for tubing, with rental services just outside. In addition to tubing, Kelly Park offers full-service concessions, picnic pavilions, and a playground.

9) Avian Reconditioning Center

If you’re fascinated by birds of prey, you’ll love the Avian Reconditioning Center in Apopka. This rehabilitation center cares for injured and orphaned birds of prey and welcomes the public on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (summer hours in June and July are 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., and it’s closed in August).

Here you can learn all about these incredible birds and, weather permitting, enjoy you’ll flight demonstrations featuring hawks.

10) Museum of the Apopkans

Last but not least is this tiny museum in Apopka. The Museum of the Apopkans is such a great way to learn about the history and culture of the Apopka community and the city itself. The museum is also a festive favorite during the holiday season, hosting its Festival of Trees each Christmas.
