This year has been a little different for all of us, given the situation we’ve been in. However, thanks to Netflix, I’ve been able to enjoy this holiday season by watching Christmas movies without thinking so much about travel.
Every year, I travel to a different place for Christmas and though I may not be able to do so this year, I have been binge watching Netflix Christmas movies that have taken me on many different trips. So far I’ve been to New York, A non-existent country and Washington D.C.
So if you have the Christmas blues due to lack of traveling, turn on your Netflix and enjoy your holidays with some of these Christmas movies.
The Best Christmas Movies on Netflix
I absolutely love Christmas movies and have seen almost all the ones on Netflix. The ones I have picked as the best are all based on my personal taste in movies and how much I like the story line.

Holidate
This was quite different from the Christmas movies I have seen! Holidate is about two strangers who agree to be each other’s platonic plus-ones for every holiday.
Yes, it’s a romantic comedy, but I did find this movie quite funny and not overly cheesy. I also could definitely relate to this movie, when I was single – Family members nagging you about being single, the “I’m sorry you’re single” stares and so forth.

The Knight before Christmas
Okay, so this one was cheesy. It’s also very romantic and not very funny. So why is this one on my best list? Well, for starters, I found this cute. I like that this deals with time travel and it has a knight!
I am not so much about romantic movies, but I did enjoy watching this and the story like wasn’t too bad either.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas
I was absolutely happy to see this on Netflix! Jim Carrey did an amazing job as the Grinch and honestly who doesn’t love a classic? This movie is based on Dr. Seuss book and if you know anything about me, I grew up reading Dr. Seuss books.
This is also a great family movie for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

A Christmas Prince
This isn’t the first time that a journalist falls in love with a prince. In real life, the Queen of Spain, Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano met her husband, a crowned prince at a party in 2002. She was a journalist and TV anchor at the time.
Well as you can guess, the two fell in love and he ended up becoming a King. This is exactly what you’ll see in A Christmas Prince, except it’s not based on the Royals of Spain.
This movie is cute, it’s romantic, a bit cheesy, but real in a sense because it’s not uncommon for a royal to fall in love with a commoner.

Christmas Inheritance
I found this one interesting and totally relatable! Sure, I’m not going to be inheriting a company anytime soon, but a city/party girl going to a small town is totally relatable (it’s like me going to a farm to milk cows…I am a complete city girl, who knows nothing about farming).
This movie has charm and it’s definitely heart warming, I also liked the pairing of the couple as well.

Holiday in the Wild
This movie right here has become one of my favorites! This movie not only shows how strong a woman can be, but also shows that it’s never too late to live out your dream.
What I love about this movie is that it shows a bit of the holidays, but it also shows this woman taking a trip to Africa and living her dream. Aside from that, we also learn about the elephants.
Watching this movie makes me want to go to Africa and it also makes me want to do more for the elephants. I also love that in the end credits, they mention how we should support conservation efforts to help the elephants.
