Every year Florida gets packed with tourists. Some seek the sun during the winter and others visit Florida for Walt Disney World. Although many wish to live in Florida, I dream with moving out of Florida. It’s not that I hate it, but I believe that everyone should experience living in a different state or country at least once.
However, since I am stuck in Florida working long hours in an office, I decided to explore my surroundings and to forget the amount of stress I’ve been under. Having lived in both Miami and Orlando for many years, I became bored with both locations and so I decided to explore the beaches of Clearwater. Not only is it a 2 hour trip from Orlando to Clearwater, but the trip itself was inexpensive.

Clearwater lies near the Gulf of Mexico and the Tampa Bay, which makes this whole city feel like an island. The beach in Clearwater is known for its white sand and the beautiful blue body of water. Adjacent to the beach are numerous shops and restaurants as well as pier 60.

As the sun sets, pier 60 becomes overpopulated with beach goers as they watch street performers and along the side are a few souvenir shops and a display of goods sold by local artisans. Not only is Clearwater beautiful because of the blue water and white sand, but the sunset view is amazing and will make any couple’s day at the beach romantic.

Even though Florida has plenty of great beaches to visit, if you want to try a different place rather than going to the ever so popular beach such as Miami Beach, then this is the place you want to go to.

Although I wasn’t able to eat around the area or do much other than watch street performers and watch the sunset, I am glad I made a trip to Clearwater. Not only did it make my weekend better and stress free, but the sunset made my day a memorable trip.

Gorgeous photos of Clearwater Beach at sunset. Sometimes it’s nice to just have a private, quiet moment without the buzzing of tourists. Glad to hear you ended up having such a lovely trip!
