Learn and Travel with Apps

January 23, 2016 Hanny 2 min read No Comments

Cell phone apps are a major tool when it comes to travel. Even more so when you are trying to learn a new language, how to cook foreign foods and get the best of travel. As a person who depends on apps, I have found some great apps that will help you not only improve your foreign language skills, but will also help you get on the next flight to Tokyo (or anywhere you want to go).

Duolingo

I found Duolingo while looking up apps in my google play store. I had been dying to learn German and improve my French, so I downloaded Duolingo in hopes of doing just that.

So far, Duolingo offers me what other language apps weren’t able to – lessons that include a variety of speaking, listening, translation, and multiple choice challenges. Duolingo also gives you points for answering correctly and once you have passed a few lessons and leveled-up, you are able to post how fluent you are on LinkedIn.

Hopper

This app predicts flight prices and gives you an idea as to when you should fly. If you are looking for the cheapest flight out of Nevada going to Austin, Hopper will predict the best time to go.

EON Experience VR

If flying is not an option for you right now, the EON Experience offers virtual tours of different places. It is also the world’s largest Virtual Reality Library for Knowledge Transfer, which offers a great deal of information and the ability to learn using virtual reality. One of the things I like the most of the EON Experience is that while you are doing the virtual tour, information of the area is given as if you were actually in a real tour. It is a very neat app and can’t wait to go through all the places EON has to offer.

I like how technology has advanced to the point where we are able to go on virtual tours and even learn a new language. These apps have been of great help to me and hopefully you all find them just as useful.

What apps are you currently using? Which one helps you during your travels?
