Is TourPass Worth It? A Simple Way to See Savannah

There is so much to see in Savannah, Georgia, that it can feel a little overwhelming. From a helicopter tour to a day trip to Tybee Island, you’ll never run out of things to do.

While visiting Jacksonville and St. Augustine, my mom and I decided to make a quick trip to Savannah since we were only about an hour and a half away.

We wanted an easy way to see the city without worrying about buying tickets or figuring out what to do, so we tried TourPass for our trip.

If you’re wondering if TourPass is right for you and worth it, I break down everything you can do with it and how much you can save.

Is TourPass Worth it

Is TourPass Worth it?

Before I answer whether TourPass is worth it, you should know what it does. TourPass offers customers up to 40-50% savings on top tours, attractions and restaurants. Not only does it save you from juggling multiple tickets or spending hours researching things to do, but it also gives you a simple way to enjoy all the included tours and museums.

How TourPass Works

Using TourPass is easy and convenient. Once you make your purchase through the TourPass website, you’ll get an email with instructions to download the app and activate your pass. If your phone isn’t compatible, that’s okay they have another way for you to use the pass.

Once you have the TourPass app installed and your pass ID is entered, you can start using it at all the attractions listed in the app.

What’s Included

What you get depends on the pass you choose and where you’re visiting, but the pass we received allowed us to select two featured attractions and visit as many standard attractions in Savannah as we wanted. Most of the featured attractions do require a reservation, but booking a spot was super easy! We chose to do the Hop On Hop Off Old Town Trolley Tours, and all I had to do was reserve it in the app.

We had the one day, two signature tours pass for Savannah and this included:

Signature Tours:

  • Bonaventure cemetery tours
  • Bicycle guided historical tours
  • Savannah theatre show admission
  • Historic overview trolley tours
  • Riverboat Narrated Sightseeing Cruise
  • And so much more!

Classic Tours:

  • Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum
  • Old Fort Jackson
  • Pírate & Treasure Museum
  • Prohibition Museum
  • Telfair Academy
  • Davenport House Museum
  • Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace
  • And more!

This is just for Savannah, the St. Augustine and Charleston pass offer different tours.

Cost Vs. Value Breakdown

If you’re still unsure whether TourPass is right for you, let’s look at the cost versus the value.

You can choose a 1-day, 2-day or 3-day pass, but for this I’m using the 1-day since that’s what I had.

A 1-day pass costs:

  • Adult: $119
  • Child: $60

Since my pass was for two adults, the total without trip protection came to $238. That’s less than what you pay at a theme park in Orlando!

Here’s a breakdown of the tours and museums we did in Savannah, and what you would pay for them without TourPass:

Just with the tours and museums above, you’re already saving nearly $90 by using TourPass. And remember, you can do as many classic tours as you want with this pass, so the more you explore, the more you save!

Who TourPass Makes Sense For

TourPass is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the museums and take tours without spending hours researching. Since my mom and I were only in the city for a day, it was super convenient, especially since my mom loves guided tours.

Who Should Skip It

If you’re not much for tours and attractions, or only in the city for a few hours, TourPass might not be worth it.

While it offers a variety of tours, museums and restaurants, some things you want to do may not be included. Before deciding to skip or book, take a quick look at the attractions covered to see if it fits your plans.

My Experience Using TourPass

Using TourPass was simple and convenient. From the moment we arrived in Savannah, we knew exactly what we wanted to do thanks to all the options on TourPass. We started with the Hop on Hop off Old Trolley Tour, which stops at about 16 locations. We used the trolley to visit museums and attractions, all while learning more about the city.

Having one pass on my phone made everything so easy, no juggling multiple tickets. At each stop, attendants would scan my phone or have me input a code, and we were on our way. Using TourPass was smooth, stress-free, and we saved a lot in the process.

So, is TourPass worth it? Absolutely! If you want convenience, flexibility, and a way to save money while exploring, TourPass makes a lot of sense, especially for first-timers or anyone looking to see a lot without the hassle.
