A while back, I decided to quit my job so that I can spend more time traveling around, but my everyday life prevents me from saving up money without some sort of an income.

Through my search for income without going to a 9 to 5 job, I found a few apps and sites that have helped me make enough money for my trips.

1) Foap

Foap is an app that allows you to post photos to sell. This app is similar to the micro stocks such as iStock, Shutterstock and Dreamstime, the only difference is that Foap uses camera photos and can only be uploaded through the app. Foap is available in Android and iOS.

How much do you make? Each photo is sold for $10. $5 goes to you and another $5 goes to Foap.

How much have I made? Since I recently started with Foap, I have not made anything yet, but I am hopeful that soon enough I will.

2) Freelancer

Freelancer

Freelancer is a website for freelancers looking for a job. With so many jobs posted, you can make any amount of money depending on the amount you and the employer agree on. This site is highly competitive with number of low bids on the projects.

How much do you make? This varies. There are fixed prices and hourly prices.

How much have I made? I have made roughly $50 within the first few weeks of being on Freelancer, which isn’t bad for an hour work.

3) Fiverr

Is there something you can offer others? Are you good at writing or at designing websites? Fiverr will allow you to sell your services for $5. Once you become a level 2 seller, you can sell extra gigs for any price of your choice.

How much do you make? You make $5 for each gig order, but once you are a seller 2, you can make more than $5.

How much have I made? I have made about $300 in less than a year, but I know a few people who have made a good income from this.

4) iStock

iStock

If you like to take photos and would like to make money, then iStock is the perfect choice. There are many micro stocks available, but I found iStock to be simple and easy to manage.

How much do you make? $0.28 for non-exclusive contributors and a minimum of $0.34 for exclusive contributors.

How much have I made? I have recently started on iStock and have yet to make any profit. However, from my research, I have found that many have made a profit from iStock.

Hopefully with a few months, I will have made much more than now, but these helpful sites have been proven ways to make money.
