Have you ever had this huge craving to travel, but weren’t able to take the days off or didn’t have the means to travel?
We’ve all been there. Stuck at a 9-5 or just stuck in a city that you’d like to escape. The good news is that there are plenty of ways to travel without having to leave the city. One good way of doing this is by subscribing to The Wordy Traveler.

The Wordy Traveler offers people the opportunity to travel without leaving their couch. With different subscription box options, The Wordy Traveler offers to take you on a journey.
The two subscription options The Wordy Traveler offers are the Full Suitcase and the Backpacking Edition. The Full Suitcase includes three curated books, a premium ethically sourced tea and a custom art print. Special surprises from around the world are also in the box. The Backpacking Edition includes one book, a premium ethically sourced tea and a custom art print. They also slip in some special surprises in this box as well.
Each box also gives back by helping girls and women across the world have access to education. So if you are all about giving back, this is a wonderful way to give back, while also exploring the world.
For the first quarter of the year, I took a journey to the Land of the Midnight Sun. The subscription box I received, came with three books and a few other items that embrace winter and all things warm. Based on the items, this journey took me to the Nordic side.
Inside The Wordy Traveler
Books
The Wordy Traveler carefully handpicks a selection of books for each quarter. This quarter, I received three books that I thought were excellent selections. Although I have yet to finish reading the books, these are the kinds of books I like to read.
The Year of Living Danishly

If it weren’t for The Wordy Traveler, I wouldn’t have known about this book. I do not spend much time looking for books to read, so it was nice to get something I would enjoy. This book is so interesting and definitely the type of book I like to read.
In this book, the author has the opportunity to live in Denmark and during her time there, she shares what the Danes are doing right and why they are the world’s happiest country.
An African in Greenland

I have yet to read this book, but the story is very appealing. I cannot wait to start reading this one. This book is a record of the author’s adventures as he works his way to Greenland from Africa, which was a journey that lasted for ten years.
Tales of Iceland

Another book I have yet to read, but looks like a book I’ll like. The cover is very amusing and sounds like there’s a good tale in this book. The book is about the author’s adventures in Iceland, from a road trip around the golden circle to encountering a drunk, raging Kiefer Sutherland, this book offers a look into an American’s experience in Iceland.
Spiced Tea

As a lover of tea, I thought it was wonderful that this box also included tea! The best part is that I didn’t have to go anywhere to get it, it just came to my doorstep. This tea bag consists of black tea, orange peel, apple pieces, almond pieces, cinnamon chips, rose petals with cinnamon, orange spice, and orange flavor.
Book Light

I was excited to get a book light! I had one but ended up losing it and never took the time to replace it. Well, now I have a new one and it works great!
Flower Bookmark
In this box, I received a flower paperclip bookmark. I am always in need of bookmarks. I tend to read 3 books at the same time, so I have bookmarks in different books.
Tin for the Tea

Included within the box is also a tin can for the tea, which is a nice touch. Especially, since I like to take my tea to work and helps keep my tea organized without having too many bags around.
Tea Strainer

I have plenty of strainers, but none like this one! This one clips to the cup, which is great and much more convenient.
Snowflake charm

This definitely reminds me of winter and it is such a fun gift to receive! I love charms, so getting a snowflake charm was such a nice surprise.
Headband

This cute headband is a hand-knitted headband from Sweden! It’s very comfortable and cozy.
Candle
I love candles, so adding a candle in this box was a great idea! The candle definitely reminds me of winter, especially since it smells like cinnamon to me and I cannot seem to get enough!
Photo

I received a beautiful photo of the Northern Lights. I love how the sky just lights up and it was such a neat addition to the subscription box. I have never seen the Northern Lights, but this photo is definitely a reminder that I need to make my way to the Nordic side someday.
Overall, I’ve had a great experience with The Wordy Traveler subscription box. As someone who loves to travel and learn about different cultures, this box really satisfied my wanderlust. It also took me closer to the Nordic countries, which I have never been to.
The Wordy Traveler is a great box for anyone seeking to satisfy their wanderlust and for anyone who also wants to be a part of giving back. If you’re interested in subscribing to The Wordy Traveler, make sure to visit them!
Disclaimer: I did receive The Wordy Traveler box for the purpose of this post. As always all opinions are my own.
