Florida has some of the best festivals and events during February—strawberry Festivals, the Daytona 500, the International Boat Show, and more. February in Florida isn’t as cold as January; it’s usually a mix of hot and cold weather (although we’ve started February in really cold weather this year!)
Even with the weather changes, I still love February (I may be a bit biased since it is also my birth month). So, if you’re looking for something to do during this wonderful month, look no further because I have 15 cool places to visit in February.

Florida Strawberry Festival
Starting on February 26th, the largest strawberry festival in Florida will be back with shortcakes, music, rides, shows and so much more. If you love all things strawberry and are also a foodie, you’ll find a lot of strawberry-themed food. The festival will continue until March 8th.
Lunar Lantern Festival
On February 14 and 15, the Lunar Lantern Festival will be at Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City, which consists of Asian street food and performances – dragon dance, traditional music, and more.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year
Central Florida is such a great place for celebrating the Lunar New Year! Especially since this is a fifteen-day celebration. The Lunar New Year is February 17th and there are plenty of great performances to see in the month of February.
The Wah Lum Temple Team will be performing Lion dances and king fu at the places and dates below:

1:15 PM – Mel’s Supermarket, 10681 E. Colonial Dr.

They do have more, which you can find on their website.

Get Your Valentine’s Chocolate & Gifts
While I am not huge on Valentine’s Day since I am a big believer that you should celebrate love every day, I do love getting Valentine’s chocolates. There are so many places where you can get Valentine’s chocolates and gifts, but one of my favorite spots is AJ Chocolate House in Winter Park, Florida.

The chocolates here are delightful and they have over 150 different chocolate delicacies. AJ Chocolate House was founded in Lithuania, and they use the best quality chocolate, after tasting a few of their chocolates I can confirm it’s quite delicious.
South Beach Wine and Food Festival
The SOBEWFF is a popular 4-day event showcasing the talent of chefs and culinary personalities. Here you’ll get to try all sorts of food and drinks, and even meet some of your favorite chefs. This event runs February 19th – 22nd.
Florida Renaissance Festival
The 34th annual Florida Renaissance Festival is back! From February 7 – March 29th, 2026 in Deerfield Beach, Florida, you’ll be able to travel back in time to the 16th century. Browse through the marketplace, watch performers, eat delicious food, and more.
Go to the Florida State Fair
If you’re headed to Tampa, then check out the Florida State Fair! From February 5-16, 2025, you’ll be able to see the animals, go on some fun rides, watch performances, and try a variety of fair food.
Check out the Daytona 500
Thousands of tourists come to Florida for the theme parks, but others will come for the Daytona 500. If you’re into racing, then you’ll love the Daytona 500! This event is on February 15, 2026.
Swim with the Manatees
While you can see many of the manatees at the state parks, one thing I didn’t mention in the January post is that you can also swim with manatees! There is one spot that allows you to swim with Manatees and that is at the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. This is quite an experience and one you don’t want to miss!
Celebrate Mardi Gras
A lot of the theme parks and New Orleans Kitchens in Florida celebrate Mardi Gras, but my favorite is going to Universal Studios to celebrate Mardi Gras. From fun float parades to global eats, Universal does a good job with the celebration. The Mardi Gras Celebration at Universal starts February 7th and ends April 4th.
If you want to celebrate Mardi Gras, but can’t afford to go to Universal. Check out some of the New Orleans Kitchens below as they will most likely be celebrating.
- Tibby’s New Orleans Kitchen
- The Bayou Kitchen and Lounge
- Fat Tuesday
Check out the Cherry Blossoms
While it’s rare to see Cherry Blossoms in Florida, there are places where you can see them. One spot I absolutely love where you can see them is at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden in South Florida.

Go Strawberry Picking
February is peak season for strawberry picking and many of the farms have strawberries available to pick! Whether you are in South or North Florida, you’ll be able to find some good strawberry-picking spots. Some of my favorites in Central Florida are:
- Southern Hill Farms
- Amber Brooke Farms
- Keel Farms
- Mick Farms
- Berry Sweet Acres
56th Annual Everglades Seafood Festival
If you’re into seafood, then check out the 56th annual Everglades Seafood Festival. This three-day festival is full of country music, carnival rides, crafts and seafood. This starts February 13th through the 15th.
Go to the International Boat Show
Located in Miami, the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show is the world’s largest boat and yacht show. Here you’ll get to learn and see everything there is to know about boats and yachts. The show runs from February 11-15, 2026.
There are many things you can do in Florida this month, but these are just some of the cool places to visit in February.
