Florida is full of amazing restaurants, and living in Orlando is no different.
Orlando has some great restaurants that are not all Disney-related. Sure, Princess themed restaurants are cute, but some of the local restaurants in Orlando are some of the best places to go to and they do not cost a fortune!
So if you’re looking for a few good local restaurants, check out the list below.
Best Restaurants in Orlando
Before you read the list below, please note that I am by no means a food critic. I absolutely dislike seafood and mushrooms. So this list is based on what I liked and what others have said about the place.
Bulla Gastrobar
Located in Winter Park, Bulla is known for their Sangrias and Spanish small plates. Aside from being an absolutely gorgeous restaurant, they offer visitors the opportunity to sit inside or outside.

The food at Bulla is quite exquisite and for the price, this place is a great spot to bring friends and family.

It’s also easy to find parking for this restaurant and it is near a nice plaza as well.
Café Tu Tu Tango
This was one of the first restaurants I went to, when I moved to Orlando, and have since loved this place.

Café Tu Tu Tango is very artsy. Artists paint while guests are enjoying their tapas.

The tapas are great, the drinks are wonderful and the experience itself is fantastic.
Hollerbach’s Willow Tree
This place is phenomenal. I have been to Germany quite a few times in my life and finding a restaurant in Orlando that can replicate food in Germany is quite hard.
However, Hollerbach does an amazing job with their German food and they also have a market for those not wanting to sit in the restaurant.
Mares Peruvian Restaurant

As a Peruvian, I take pride in the cuisine Peru has to offer. That said, when someone tries to recommend a Peruvian place in the U.S. that is not at all Peruvian or cooked the Peruvian way, I want to tear my hair out.

I grew up eating Peruvian food, I know what Peruvian food is supposed to taste like and that’s why I recommend Mares Peruvian Restaurant.
This place was a bit of a drive for me, but nonetheless, it was a good visit! The food was on point – tasted the way it was supposed to, the drinks were delicious and the desserts were amazing.
The owner, himself came to greet us as well as a few others in the restaurant, which was nice because you never really get to see the owners much at restaurants.

Overall, the experience here was delightful, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and everything was well cooked. The desserts are also homemade, which is just how I like them.
Korea House
This restaurant is in Longwood and offers some delicious Korean food. I’ve had Korean food in different parts of Orlando, but this one is one of my favorites to go to.
I am all about Korean BBQ, so I either order the Galbi or the Bulgogi, which are two of my favorites. They do offer a variety of dishes, but if you’re looking for Korean BBQ, this is definitely a good spot.
Mediterranean Street Food by Shishco

I thought I knew the best places to eat Mediterranean until I had Mediterranean Street Food by Shishco. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of good places to eat Mediterranean food, but Mediterranean Street Food by Shishco knows how to really season and make a plate look absolutely delicious!

Not only were the flavor spot on, but the meals are quite big leaving you with enough for leftovers. Their building might be small, but I love that you can eat outdoors and they have the prettiest mural I’ve ever seen.
Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill

Located at Rosen Centre Hotel on I-drive, Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill offers guest quality food as well as great service. This place had some delicious burgers and I must say their desserts are really good!

Aside from having delicious food, this restaurant is also located next to the pool, which is a great way to relax. Delicious food, a pool outdoors, outdoor and indoor seating, what more do you need?

Hunger Street Tacos

I’m a huge fan of corn tortillas and Elote, which is what I found at Hunger Street Tacos. Not only that, their seasoning and quality of food is wonderful. They also have a variety of tacos and quesadillas, so if there is something you don’t like, you will eventually find something you do. The food is fresh and very authentic.

Aside from that, I love the murals they have that decorate the restaurant and I also love their covered patio seating.
Black Fire Brazilian Steakhouse

I came here for Magical Dining and it was absolutely worth it! My friends and I got to get unlimited sides at the salad bar, which has everything from salads to pasta. We also got all-you-can-eat grilled meat served table side, which was great! I enjoyed all the meats I tried and they just kept coming! I didn’t even have to wait to get the meat.

The service was absolutely phenomenal, our waiter was very attentive. We were very well served.

We also got dessert. After the all-you-can-eat grilled meats and sides, we almost didn’t try the dessert, but after looking at the dessert we couldn’t resist. The desserts were just as delightful as the rest of the food.
It was a great experience with some amazing food and they did well keeping us socially distant from others, which is a plus in my book during these times.
There are so many places in Orlando that are great, but these are just some of the ones I like the most.
Have you tried any of these restaurants before?
