When it comes to doughnuts, I have a love and hate relationship with them. I’ll admit I’m not a huge fan of doughnuts – Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts and all those other big chains selling similar doughnuts are gross in my opinion, but that doesn’t mean I completely hate doughnuts!
In fact, the moment I realized I liked doughnuts was when I first had a mochi donut from Dochi. The texture was so different from all the other doughnuts that I couldn’t get enough of Dochi. The funny thing about all this is that I was raised eating Picarones, which is actually a Peruvian doughnut made of sweet potato. I’ve never seen it as a doughnut though more of a dessert. Then again, to me doughnuts are a dessert.
Well, since then I’ve been on a mission to find some of the best doughnut shops in Orlando, and in my search I found 5 best doughnut shops.
5 Best Doughnuts in Orlando
Since I am such a picky doughnut eater, a lot of the popular Orlando doughnut shops aren’t on this list, and the reason for that is because I look for unique doughnuts. Doughnuts made out of sweet potato, mochi donuts and so on. While I have tried the other doughnut spots, these are the top 10 doughnut shops.

1) Beignets & Brews
If you’ve ever been to New Orleans, you know the best spot for beignets is Cafe du Monde, but living in Orlando we didn’t have many good beignets spots, which is why I was so excited when Beignets & Brews opened their first spot here in Orlando!
We have two locations, one in Hunters Creek and another in Downtown Orlando. Both spots serve a variety of beignets with the option of dipping sauces and they also have different coffee drinks.
During my first visit, I ended up with the Cinna-Swirl Beignets, which were drizzled with cinnamon roll icing and sprinkled with a hint of cinnamon powder. I also ordered a side of blueberry dipping sauce, which added to the wonderful flavors of the beignets. Along with my beignets, I also got the Matcha Lavendar Bliss.
I love how beignets aren’t as dense as doughnuts and have more of a light, airy dough. One of the reasons why this spot is on my list.

2) Parlor Doughnuts
As soon as Parlor Doughnuts opened in Orlando, I knew I had to check it out! I had heard plenty of good things about Parlor Doughnuts, and knowing that they have layered doughnuts I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go.
What I love about Parlor Doughnuts is not only that they have layered doughnuts, but they also offer keto doughnuts! As someone who has been trying to get on the keto train, I love that they offer this!
Parlor also has a breakfast menu with avocado toast and breakfast tacos.

3) Dochi
This is one of my favorite donut spots! If you’ve never tried Japanese Mochi Donuts, then this is your sign to do so. The texture is light unlike regular doughnuts, and the flavors are great! I’ve tried everything from Matcha Fruity Pebbles to Brown Sugar Chai.
4) Knockout Mini Donuts
Located in Mount Dora, Knockout Mini Donuts can be found in Renninger’s Flea Market. While it is a bit of a drive from Downtown Orlando, it is worth every mile! These mini donuts are delicious and quite addicting. When my mother in law was in the area, I decided to take her to Renninger’s, where she ended up getting some of these donuts, and by the end of the day they were all gone!

5) Mochinut
If you’re looking for another spot with Mochi donuts, then Mochinut is the best spot to go to. Mochinut also has Korean corndogs, milk teas and more! Mochinut also has several locations in Orlando, which is great.
There are many more doughnut shops in Orlando that have been highly rated, so I wouldn’t knock them until you try them. However, if you’re just as picky as I am about doughnuts, you may just want to stick to the ones on this list as many of the doughnut shops in Orlando are similar to Dunkin.
