If there’s something this year has taught me is that this world is full of amazing museums. Having the ability to virtually see them has been quite an experience and although it’s not the experience I had wanted, I’m glad I still got to see them.

The virtual museum tours may not be the same as the real deal, but it gives us an insight as to what to expect and it’s also a good way to plan future trips.

There’s so many awesome museums to visit, but for now I’ll give you 10 Museum with virtual tours to get you started.

Museums are a great way to experience the culture of a country and to learn. Many of these museums are quite popular with tourists and after going on the virtual tours, I can see why.

1. British Museum

The British Museum in London has a wonderful collection that spans over two million years of human history. Here you can find world famous objects such as the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon sculptures, and Egyptian mummies.

2. Altes Museum, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin

This beautiful museum in Berlin, Germany, exhibits the art and culture of the Greeks, Etruscans, and Romans. It has a wonderful rotunda adorned with antique sculptures and has an expansive atrium.

3. The Morgan Library & Museum

The Morgan in New York is a major exhibition venue for fine art, literature, and music. It’s also a great historic place.

4. Rijksmuseum

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has a beautiful collection of Dutch art and history. The building itself is a masterpiece with its gorgeous interior design.

5. Belvedere

The Belvedere in Wien, Austria, has an impressive collection of Austrian art from the Middle Ages to the present day. The building itself is gorgeous as well.

6. Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte

Located in Napoli, Italy, the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte holds 47,000 works of art, making this the largest and most complex collections of medieval, early modern and contemporary art in the world. The building is incredible and provides a great virtual tour.

7. The Sand Museum

An open-air museum, The Sand Museum is located in Tottori, Japan. This museum has a vast collection of sand sculptures and is located on the edge of the Tottori Sand Dunes.

8. Insect Museum of West China

The Insect Museum has thousands of insects and is located in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is the first modern insect museum of the country and the biggest insect museum in Asia.

9. Crafts Museum

Located in New Delhi, India, The Crafts Museum houses some of the finest handmade items.

10. The Deutsches Historisches Museum

This German Historical Museum has more than 7,000 objects that provide a unique overview of German history. Located in Berlin, Germany, this is Germany’s national historical museum.
